What a great way to start the season! After a short fall break and a family trip to the beach, Estella headed to Steamboat for training and the second Youth Olympics qualifier. There are two spots available for the Youth Olympics and one of them was already claimed by teammate, Josie Johnson. The open spot was earmarked for the athlete that scored the most combined points of the Steamboat qualifier and the Lake Placid qualifier (held in October).

Estella had a great set of competition jumps this weekend and scored 240 points – enough to clinch the spot for the Youth Olympics. And she broke the women’s HS100 hill record in the process! Then, on Sunday she broke the record again with a jump of 98.5 meters. It was a thrill to watch!
